Here's a Friendship Star baby quilt which began by following the instructions on the previous page. Using the same fabric for the inner border as the star backgrounds allows the stars to float. However, the quilt needed a little something more to give it definition. So we added the white and black checks and an extra blue border. Click the small photos to see a larger picture. The baby's name was embroidered on a Bernina Artista 180e. The main body of the quilt was quilted "in the ditch" using a walking foot. The borders were "free-motion" quilted. |
