Hans' customer, Pat Kroth,  is an award winning Wisconsin fiber artist. Pat's contemporary art quilts can be seen in many public and private collections nationwide, including the Wisconsin Percent for the Arts Program and Wisconsin University Hospitals and Clinics.

Below is a detail from "Revisiting Jackson". This monumental collage work (106" by 65")  received the prestigious award for "Most Innovative Use of the Medium" at Quilt National '01 in which opened in May in Athens, Ohio.

Kroth comments, "I have created a series of fiber fragment quilts by working in a fairly random and spontaneous manner. I'm constantly reminded of the simple beauty of found objects, recycled materials and cast-offs. From my background in abstract painting, I recently remembered how much I enjoy Jackson Pollock's work. Now I feel as though I'm truly painting with fabric and thread." Pat creates using a Janome New Home 7500.

Shown below is Pat's "Falling Free," a cyanotype image of leaves, 60" x 90", hand-dyed cotton, machine stitched, sheer overlays.
