Corona QuiltMadison fiber artist Cherie St. Cyr’s work was discovered at an art fair in Illinois, and became the key element in a multi-million dollar advertising campaign by Corona Beer. Three quilts were commissioned by Corona’s advertising agency, and these finished pieces were then seen on billboards and in print ads across the country. In July 2002, Cherie made national news again when the Quilt Surface Design Symposium (QSDS) out of Columbus, Ohio awarded her first place for her hand-dyed fabric. The award, established by pre-eminent quilter Nancy Crow, annually recognizes one top fabric artist for a body of work. Cherie's detailed and rich quilts are sewn on Bernina sewing machines.
